CALR’s legal knowledge generation and information dissemination activities aim to get the right legal knowledge to the people who need it most, in a timely manner and in a form that is most useful to them. This programme is guided by the different themes and topics the Centre deals with which are of national, sub-regional and international concern. With its unique position, the Centre undertakes a wide range of knowledge generation, knowledge transfer and sharing as well as knowledge application/management activities.
The Centre places clear emphasis on high quality outputs including the production of a quarterly newsletter on Law and Development. The Centre closely monitors, comments and publishes on emerging legislation affecting economic, social and cultural aspects of society. This also includes case summaries, analysis and updates from national, regional and international courts on topical or select areas of law. The Centre also makes use of new and innovative publishing and dissemination techniques.
